Taxi

I would be EXTREMELY intereseted in hearing from the person who ran the taxi service in BC. I know a guy down south of me about 4 hours who is starting one up. A finiky guy but none the less I thougt he might have an ok idea. He runs a bio-diesel co-op so he saves a bit on fuel....but I agree maintnance might be the killer.

If you are out there Taxi memeber please contact.

Thank you,
Jason

Would it make more sense for me to travel south out of the corrosion states and find a good 300SDL for 4-5k and use that for the limo service? Does the SDL have a bigger interior? It just doesn't make sense to spend 5k on paint when I can spend 5k on paint with a whole other car under it.

Besides oxidizer and head issues, is there anything major to look for when looking at one of these vehicles?
Heres your LIMO, You might want to move on this. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?p=1122494#post1122494

It would be a horrible to subject a time warp like that to harsh daily use.

I really think the SDL is the way to go. And this is coming from a pretty die-hard SD owner.

SD's lack a lot of rear leg room. Pretty hard to beat a lwb W126 when it comes to leg room. I'm a tall guy and I find the front seat of the W123 a bit cramped, the back looks small.

That's absolutely true. With the front seat moved back a bit, there is barely enough room for an attache case on the floor of the SD in the rear seating area.

Not exactly comfortable as a limo..........

Only sat in the back of the SD once. Lets put it this way their is no way I'd drive across the country sitting in that back seat.

Now with the SDL, I can cross my legs and relax, with a 6ft tall person sitting in the seat in front of me.

Yep.......the SDL is great.........you can have legs flailing all over the place and they won't ruin the headrests..........

Hmmm, I'll have to see about that legs flailing all over the place thing.... I think that makes the decision.
