vacuum lines

Hello I just bought a mercedes 300d turbo 1985 model. While replacing some vacuum lines I found two lines unhooked under the dash.I can not find where thay went. Both line are black one line comes off the transmisson valve on the back of the injector pump turns and goes thru the fire wall and stops. The other line comes off the main vauum line from the pump runs into a in line filter then goes thru the fire wall and stops both of these lines go thru the same hole in the fire wall as the lines going to the kill switch. Can anybody tell me where thay go from there.Thanks....ssbkc

They are probably just vent lines. Check for a diagram here:

I think the black one is a vent, and shouldn't be connected to anything (at least mione isn't). The line that runs off the transmission "circuit" is probably for your locks. Do they work right (i.e. when you lock the drivers side, do the rest of the doors lock as well)? I think they are yellow and green. Goo luck.

The line with the filter is a vent line and goes to nothing. It exits inside the car so it can draw dry air in from inside instead of moist air from outside.
