This is my first time here. I have a 99 e300 turbodiesel. Yesterday it died on me and i cranked till it started again. It ran rough. I looked under the hood and saw lots of air in the clear fuel lines going into and out of the fuel filter. After a while it cleared up and i drove it fine for 30 miles. This morning it stared fine but died in the driveway. No amount of cranking will bring fuel to the clear fuel lines. Do I have a pre filter filter? Is there a filter or screen in the fuel tank? I checked the fuse for the fuel filter and it is fine. Thanks. Randyjam.
