Oh ic, well you could just pick up one of these at any local auto parts store or walmart. They squeeze in-between the seats.

MB started putting cup holders in there cars with the W140 I think. I wish they never did. The Germans don't eat while driving, cupholders are MB's sell out to the US market.

Hold your drink in one hand and drive with the other.

If I have to bring a cup of something in the car, I typically set it in the center console and put the armrest down on top to hold it. Not too hard, as you can crush the cup if flimsey. Usually I have some papers sitting in the console, so they catch any small spillage.

But, I agree, the best bet is to drink before you drive. (uh, the non-alcoholic type of course!)

Hmm do it after the coffee, no business until the coffee is done. Talking is no problem thanks to the headset.

I tried checking my email the other day, its pretty hard to do while driving, just as bad as playing with a GPS...

I have one of those fold down cup holders on the drivers door, it has a burlwood face on the cover, so it doesn't look too bad, but I generally don't recommend them, you ought to drive and not drink coffee when you do, I admit I still do that sometimes.
