Mobil 1 0w-40
Is the Mobil 1 0w-40 diesel rated? It has an SM/CF rating. At $6.29/qt it's too expensive for summertime, but it would make sense for winter (when my car is not really driven anyway).

at the risk of starting a flame war, I'll say that if you're not going to drive it during the winter at all, that I'd use the cheapest oil I can.
Reason being is that you're going to start it a few times only. I'd want the contaiminents out for the long sit, then run the good stuff when you're driving it. ~Nate

go to Mobil 1.com and look at what they recommend
For what I can remember here at work - that looks to be the oil I have in my v-12

As I recall, the 0w oils are too thin for the pressures encountered in a diesel.

Try Murrays. I think it's $5.79/qt.
