603 Oil Pressure Sending unit

My Gauge has tourettes, so I think I'm gonna clean/replace it. Anyone tell me where it is?

Thanks!

The sending unit is on the driver's side of the block, down low. Its pretty easy to find. It is round (looks like a large freeze plug) with an elongated (2" maybe) "cap" where the wire is attached.

???

According to my memory and my EPC the oil pressure sender is located on the bottom of the oil filter housing, it's not mounted on the engine block.

Correct. It's at the bottom of the filter housing. You access it from underneath the car.

I accessed mine from the topside by removing the oil cooler lines was it worth all the effort? Yes, now I get the right readings, previously the pressure ran between high and higher, never dropping down when the oil was hot.

Well at least it's only the 5 or 6mm Allen to remove those oil cooler hoses. A NICE step up over the 617

How about you deliver them and I'll throw some steaks on the grill and we'll have a couple of cold ones and talk 603 and 617s!
