That stinks. Sorry to hear it. Im sure you feel violated and desire revenge. I hope that there are some sort of clues that you find or they try to sell the stuff and get caught.

Lesson learned, dont leave ANYTHING out in sight...

Wonder if an entry alarm going off would have made them run...

4 channel video system with a dvr. Seems our local scumbags are coming for another round. This time I'll have video. Ba$tard$ are back doing the old "moving truck" gig as well. My neighbor surprised two early morning snoopers when he went outside for a smoke at 4:45am.

Glass everywhere.....bent and scarred window trim... door trim falling off - (don't know what that's about - guess it was shiny and looked expensive at first glance ) damaged the weather stripping on that door and the rear pass. door too. Spent today driving to the junkyard cussing, pulling a window and trim while cussing, driving home pissed, and installing the new components while very angry and extremely hungry. Luckily the equipment was insured and the window and misc parts cost me less than $15. Tomorrow I get to deal with furnishing a list of stolen items to both my isurance company and the police, and cleaning up the glass everywhere. Might as well do the fine tooth comb in the car to see what else they f**ed up or took. I feel violated! Makes me want to hide in my attic w/ my shotgun hangin out the window and slug the next b**tard that sets foot on my property uninvited . Thanks for letting me vent.....as if you had a choice.

Sorry for your loss.

When I first got Married I told my Wife not to leave anything remotely worth any money, looks like it could have something valuable in it (like a closed but empty box with a pic of a Stereo on it) not even change were it could be viewed looking into the Car Windows. I told Her to lock that stuff in the Trunk.
Because, I did not want to have to replace a Window.

I had to constantly remind Her of this until someone busted out our Neighbors Car Window.

Since then She puts stuff in the Trunk or covers it up so it does not invite curiosity.

Not much you can do with the Radio.

hmmmm.
it'd be cool to have a 3D radio cover that looks like it's been removed... a 3D image of a hole with wires sticking out...
interesting...

Perhaps a black disguise-faceplate with a bunch of ragged wires hanging out... Not very pretty but a great idea.

The CD players that came in in every car I've owned have either been dead or dying.
Except for the Euro TD, all my Benzes have cassette-radios. Hopefully theives are no longer interested in those. For now, I;m planning to replace the dying Blaupunkt CD-radio in the TD with a Blaupunkt cassette unit that has an input jack so I can plug in any player that can be stashed in the glovebox.
As for speaker upgrades, anything decent that can fit under the factory grills. Otherwise, I've had decent results with a pair of compact two-way high-power box-speakers, out of sight on the rear floor.

Happy Motoring, Mark

If a camera-flash circuit is too sophisticated, one could rig up a simple auto ignition-coil to a 12-volt buzzer.

Some years back, there was a South-African TV news-clip demonstrating an under-car mounted flamethrower device, designed to automatically incinerate any hoodlums caught tampering with the vehicle!

Well, hopefully they won't decide to just steal the whole car.
Last fall, my neighbor hired some guy to enlarge the loft over his garage. The dirtbag found where my neighbor kept the car-keys, stole his rusty 240D, and eventually torched it!
