Ditto me on that as well. My bro runs an embroidery kiosk. Methinks I'll enquire as to the cost of doing this...

Anyone know where to buy *good* jumpsuits?

I meet a lot of guys who are all "oh yeah, I'm really into cars," but all they really mean by that is they can tell you how much horsepower every different model of muscle car has or what kind of tricked-out options they'd like to put on their domestic vehicle. But they don't know jack about "utilitarian" stuff, like what makes a car work, what taking care of one entails, what differentiates one fuel type from another, etc. Often I meet a guy who claims to be a car-guy and I think "cool, maybe I can learn from him" (since I'm not exactly an automotive genius at this point) ... about 90 percent of the time it turns out I know more than he does when it comes to the actually mechanics of it.
Bhodi, I am thrilled there are girls out there like you. I am not really an automotive genious, but I am WAY above average with automotive skills. to find a healthy intelligent woman that actually enjoyed mechanic duties would really be nice. My current forray into female conpanionship has difficulty with filling the gas... yes, she drives my old minivan... I will have her in a MB soon though.

Grandmother: W123 diesel Benz (when she passed, my dad sold it for $1,000 to a fellow who desperately needed financial help); Mom: 1987 GMC Suburban diesel; Sister: 2002 VW Jetta TDI; me: 1987 300D + 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD. When you add to that the fact that my dad is a dieseler (75 240d, my 87 300d before he gave it to me, 1983 diesel Chevy Suburban, couple of big rigs, now 2005 Liberty CRD that matches mine), diesel is simply in my blood. No seriously, after a few nicks and scratches while trying to work on my car, I think it's in my blood, literally.
Oh, how I would love to find a nice Diesel suburban... my two trucks are OK, but suburban's are way better. I also know what you mean about diesel in the blood. (exactly why do the stupid injector line seperators have such sharp corners?) Really glad you gals are out there. I REALLY wish more of you existed.

Hey Bodhi, just noticed you have the same car as me... except your white/palo '87 is probably a tad less squished than mine. I kept it for parts, though... has come in handy for my blue '87 baby. Check out this buyer's guide / checklist on the 1987 300D/TD, if you haven't yet seen it...

Got a glimpse of a hottie in a Benz yesterday myself. I pulled up beside her at a stoplight .... I looked over to catch her eye but unfortunately the light changed quickly and she was gone like wind .... my old, slow 300D never had a chance to catch the S550 she was drivin'... Sometimes I really miss my old 280Se 4.5 .....
