First trip

Hey all, I know I've disappeared there for a while, things got pretty hectic around here wit heverythnig I've had in the mix, the poor Benz got parked out in the project storage area after I had gotten it running (with some issues) I finally got to digging it out yesterday and ran the diesel purge thru it, didnt seem to bring out a lot of crud I could see, & didnt seem to make the engine sound/run any different in the shop, took it out for its first real drive today, and it sure runs a lot better on the road. At first the trans flared between shifts so bad i had to back off the throttle to get it settled in, but after about halfway to work the problem disappeared, I think from all the sitting. I must say I was really impressed with the handling & braking, I wasnt pushing it,granted, being my first drive in it, but it seemed to feel much better on the road I like to "enjoy" daily going home. Needless to say I think im happy with it,lol now to see how my mileage will do....

Btw, is it normal for it to sound like its revved up when going @ freeway speed 55-60 (1980 240D w/300D motor) want to make sure I'm not missing a top gear.....
