Whoa there sonny........
The bearing is absolutely the last thing that you want to do. It needs special tools and special knowledge and an arbor press to get it done properly. I cringe at the thought of doing one of them............ Attempt to determine if one of your rear axles is bad. This is far more likely than one of the rear bearings. If one of the axle boots is cracked and there is a hole in the boot, you can bet you found your problem. |

i agree with brian.
and more specifically he is i believe referring to the cv joints. these can be checked by placing the car where it wll not roll with the tranny in neutral and not park so that there is no tension on the drive train. then you grab the half shafts and push up and down. any looseness is bad. it will slide in and out slightly as a normal function but up and down is not good. the fix is usually to replace the entire half shaft including the cv joints with a new or rebuilt unit. good luck tom w
