84 190D hunting idle

Thanks to the help from this site I have been driving this car daily. It starts up everytime and is a fuel miser. My issue is the idle hunts when the car is in park. It does this cold or hot. When its in gear it idles fine @ 850 rpm (which seems a tad high to me). Can someone tell me where the idle adjustments are and how to set them? Aside from that issue (and this one http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=174224 ) the car is fine.

Thanks,
Dubyagee

Both filters are new (less then 100 miles) and the primary fuel filter still has a white filter media. I recently installed a head gasket, timing chain and all related parts for such. I flushed the tank and the lines. The IP has new delivery valve washers and O-rings. The injectors have new nozzles and have been matched and popped @ 150 bar.

idle control

Ok, I'm pretty sure that the 1984 190D idle control is different from the later versions of the 190D. I think this came up on the MBCA forum and a search over there might get you something. I believe Dr. Booth has addressed this in the past. Best I can do.

idle control 1984 190D

This is from Dr. Booth. Hopefully the following post of Dr. Booth's will help. I hope I'm following protocol here for cross posting from another web site. Apologies to anyone in advance.

"The '84 190D doesn't have an overvoltage relay. Idle problems of a properly tuned 601.921 engine are usually caused either by the idle being too low (should be ~750 when the engine is warm) or because the temperature activated vacuum control system isn't working as it should."

See 7.1-010 D locted here: http://mb.braingears.com/201_DISK1/PDF/60006.pdf
