Well being the fool that I am, I locked myself out of this damned car.

Both doors do not pop any lock. Anyway, I still can get into the trunk.

What's the best way to attempt to pop the locks? I figure I'll need some positive pressure to do this, but how much is too much?

Just starting to understand the auto doorlocks on the 123, but I think it's vacuum to lock and unlock...your one and only key still in the car... pull the trunk cylinder and take it to a locksmith.

If you can get into the trunk, can't you backfeed a vacuum thru the trunk or fuel door release mechanism with a Mity Vac and open the car doors??????

youre thinking like a 126 with positive pressure.

you should need to pull vacuum on the green/yellow line althoughi'm thinking since the drivers door is locked the master switch is going to make it leak... maybe if you used the pump from one of the 126's to do it? I dont think you could hand pump fast enough to overcome the leak in the master switch.

I think I confused you guys.

The key operates all locks, but the internals are broken in the front doors. It turns the tumbler left and right...

If your in the trunk, at the doorlock pump, apply pressure to the output stump.

ahhhh,
still, the vacuum needs to be applied to make the doors unlock... and with the door locked.....I'm thinking you gotta break a window, or get a thief to jack the lock with a slim jim.

It'll only take a second to pull a vacuum on the various lines in the trunk and see if it has any effect on the locked doors.

At an auction I once worked at, we would gently pry the top corner out and put a small wooden wedge in there to hold it out. gave us enough room to get a coat hanger in there and unlock without damage. make sure to wrap what ever you use(we used a flat pry bar) so as not to damage paint.

Most 240ds have sunroofs. If you are so blessed power up the motor in the trunk to open it if you can get in there. I have never used the mechanical crank for emergency closings but this may also apply. If your car has no sunroof stay away from lotto tickets as well. Gotta be maddening. Also hope you do not tip the scales in excess of three hundred pounds either.

i doubt if you can bend the door frame enough to get in on a benz.

i would call a locksmith.

but maybe you are saying the locks are broken? but still a locksmith may be able to get it to work.

What about trying turning the key to unlock while someone is applying a vacuum to the locking system?

Other than that the sunroof idea might work, or ??
