Turn signal flutter?

That is the best way that I can think to describe it. Its certainly no big deal, but If I turn on either turn signal, the lights flash in an erratic pattern. Inside the car, the normal click-click has started to be broken up by a series of quick clicks, then the light will flash agin, and so on. Is this possibly the relay starting to go bad? Or is it just the cars way of saying its not happy with the cold, and to leave it alone?

I'd start with the fuse just to rule that out. Then try the relay.

Engage the emergency(four way flashers) and walk around the car. You will probably find one or more bulbs either illuminating dimly or not at all. The ones that are dim or inop will cause rapid or erratic flashing because of an open circuit or poor ground in the bulb socket. I advise to use silver base bulbs, not brass. Different bases will cause different resistances which can affect operation.

mine does something similar... when cold, or humid... the signal either left or right will blink so fast it sounds like a buzzer. all lights work. I left the car in my yard with a bad trunk seal for 5 years and accumulated some mildew and corrosion on most of the electronics. the radio stopped working, the a/c, the cruise and the odo. I am sure tons of other things will act up. if you have mildew evidence, you might want to start taking things apart and cleaning them.

Sounds like it to me. I had your exact symptoms, and it turned out to be a bad relay.

I am thinking the same thing, but finding the relay in a SD is kinda difficult...

Mine did the same thing for a while but then it went away..I'm chalking that one up to moisture. another fluttery relay i'v found is one under the dash by my left foot, I hear it clicking (has since stopped) but I don't see or hear any systems failing as well...baffling..
