W124 300D, Change both control arms at once?

I need a ball joing on my 1991 300D. It has 81k on it. New England roads finally killed one ball joint, and I have been told it is easier to just have the whole control arm changed out, which has new bushing and the ball joint itself.

My question is, should I have both changed, L and R while they are in there? Is this more efficient to do this- i.e. is there a labor savings to do both? Thanks friends. John Peterson

Are you talking about your upper control arms? Might as well do them both, they're cheap and easy to do.
