Smoke

What do you all make of this?

This is a fresh tank of B99. It was smoking blue before the tank of bio, but I have swapped turbos and now the smoke seems to be more white and dry leading me to believe it is not burnt oil that is the cause any more.

Working on fixing the video.

The video you have requested is not available.

If you have recently uploaded this video, you may need to wait a few minutes for the video to process.
The preview picture is there, but no video. It's only a 2second video.....

Looks identical to my smoke, except you have a bit more than me. I'm running regular diesel though.

You would not believe how much smoke a cold OM606 with only 2 working glowplugs can produce....

Maybe your old turbo was burning oil? And now it's just condensation? (hopefully it is just that)...

That picture was taken just after start up. It gets a bit better after it is warmed up. I'll try another video tomorrow. I wonder if one cylinder is missing. My exhaust seems to make more of a chug..chug..chug sound then it used to. I’ll try cracking each injector’s line tomorrow.

It seems that I have two problems.

One, the rough idle and white smoke at idle seem to be caused by the #2 cylinder not firing as tested by the cracking of the injector line. The idle does not change like when the other injector's lines are cracked, although the injector is getting fuel. Could the engine stay running at idle with 2 cylinders not firing when I cracked one of the other injector's lines? Seems like they all fire at speed because the car still has power.

Two, blue smoke on acceleration which I still think the turbo is to blame for. The plume occurs just as the boost comes on.

What is next? Compression test and Pop test of the injectors? This thing ran great a month ago...

Swap around the suspect injector to a different cylinder to see if the misfire follows it.

Do I need to use new heat shields when I swap them?
