manual idle cable on 240D?

Can someone take a picture of the end of the manual idle cable, the part that hooks up with the linkage? My cable is intact, except for the end, and who knows where it flew off to? If I can use my existing cable and just repair the end someway, I will attempt to do so. Otherwise, I guess I would have to order a complete new cable.
thanks,
Jim

Thanks, but I really cant see what I need to see. What is on the end of the cable? Is is a round leaded shot type thing like a fishing line sinker? I know where it goes, but I dont know what is supposed to be on the end. I figured if I could "crimp" something on there, it would pull up against the hole/slot, and I still might be able to use my old existing one.

Idle cable

There is supposed to be a plastic round thing that is also broken on my diesels...best bet is get a cable stop at a hardware store....you will have to cut off the sinker....Then slide stop on cable and tighten with set screw...

OR....you could order the new plastic part from MB....

I also have a 240D, so I'm interested in this post, I modified ForcedInduction's pictures a bit. Hope this helps.

Not sure what you mean by "plastic round thing", but the cable stop is what I was thinking of.(I didnt know what the name of those things were, so guess that's it?) If there needed to be something in front of the cable stop, perhaps a metal flat washer or plastic flat washer would work? Wish I had a picture of a new one, exposing the end so I could see.
