I already know there is upward pressure on fuel prices.... So, I'm at 1/2 tank, and decide to fuel up today, since the local store was at 2.67. I stick in my credit card, and notice it's now 2.75...... hmmmm, the sign says 2.67, the pump says 2.75. I know prices are headed up, but (wiskey tango foxtrot). I head inside the fuel stop and tell them the sign says 2.67, they say the price is 2.75, I repeat... the sign says 2.67. (this goes on a few more times). He finally says that he'll fix the sign. I get back in my car and drive off.

So.... what is up with fuel prices, and where are they going. As silly as this sounds, the 'best' price I have for fuel right now, is on the PA turnpike, of all places. (we'll see if that changes this week, cause I'm going to need some fuel.)

It's mostly $2.67 to 2.69 in San antonio, TX area, but found a Valero at $2.54!!! Still TOO HIGH!!!

Even though they are not a source of Oil for the US.....Iran is inadvertantly influencing our fuel prices!

Homemade B100 for $0.90

2.69 still widely avaliable here tho...

$ 2.46 in Southern Nj, $ 2.26 for off road diesel, But I would never use the latter.....

Just a little FYI, for all concerned. Diesel fuel at the truck stop, is both much cheaper, and "Fresher" at a truck stop, than any other type of filling station you'll find. The filler nozzles are bigger, for trucks, at most of the pumps, but the regular sized ones, are always on the ends, closest to the building. I know this from experience...Takes forever to pump 400, to 600 gallons at a time into my Freightliner, with the small nozzle.

If your serious, i'll sell you a 55 gal drum of it labeled as "bio-home heating oil" (legal reasons) for $100 if you give me a 2 weeks or so to make that much

I hogged out the filler neck on my Excursion so it could use the bigger nozzle. However, has anyone hogged out the filler neck to remove that stupid web so we can use the larger nozzles? This is because the small nozzles are way in the back where you are more exposed to the elements than the larger nozzles. Also if others are using it, you are SOL since there are only 2 small nozzles and sometimes one is broke.

Yes, on my 83 Olds Custom Cruiser Wagon (Diesel), I've hogged the filler neck, for the very same reason. Allows for quicker fuel stops all together. Takes the big nozzle about 40 seconds to fill the tank, (38 gallons) from dead empty. People look at me funny when I pump diesel into that car. A lot of people don't even expect it to be diesel. They weren't all that common even in their day, in those cars.

B99 just jumped from 2.99 to 3.09 here in HumCo Cali.
