I'm not going to go into a deep analysis of why Google does what it does, but they had a simple idea and and went with it. It seems to be working quite well for them, wouldn't you say?

Oracle and Microsoft? That's what you're comparing to Google? Google has or will soon surpass Oracle (Oracle does one thing, but does it somewhat well, Google does many, many things extremely well). And Microsoft? Well they're pretty much the antithesis of everything Google, in my opinion. You know that saying "Don't be evil" or "We're not evil"? One could only guess that the "evil" they are referring to is none other than Microsoft.

Moderator, this thread definitely needs to be dumped into OD!

Not even a hint of Diesel, or even Cars for that matter, and of course the always ever-present political opinion snips thrown in.
