my daily driver has the 1 piece euro bumper, but i like the 3 piece much better...it atleast beats the US spec ones anyday!

the car for sale has the 3 piece, but are in bad shape.

i know the quy selling it, he let me drive it and it is like my 300d on steroids! it really gets up and goes

Thats because its using 2x as much fuel per distance traveled!

On that note....is it reliable enough to get back to michigan just by driving it?

I saw that car, it would be a nice donor for a gasser coupe! I even been trying to figure out how to get it myself.

I fully disagree. When I drove my 280E 5-speed home from Chicago, I got 25mpg on each tank. I'd bet the 300D gets about the same.

Sounds better than my 300D

Bet the 5 speed helps. The diesels are nice and all but it's fun to wind out a nice silky smooth 6 cylinder gas engine once in a while. More than once in a while, actually.
