W123 door water sheilds

During my weekend efforts to bring the 300D up to road-ready condition, I pulled all of the interior door panels in order to debug the vacuum door locks and power windows. Moronic PO strikes again!

All four doors are missing the plastic water shields completely. The compressed board that makes up the door panels are all mildewed and swollen, and most of the plastic clips remained firmly planted in the metal. I do believe I'll need to scavenge door panels. I'd like to give the guy that left the plastic off a swift kick in a soft spot for each door.

As I have nothing to make a template from, and no idea how the plastic would have been arranged around things like the door handle, I'm hesitant to attempt constructing new ones from generic plastic sheet. Does anyone by chance happen to have a part number for these? How about some old tattered ones that I could use for templates?

Ooh. A part number? Is that for the front or the rear doors? I actually need to do all four doors, and the rears will clearly not be the same as the fronts.

*EDIT*

A quick Google of the number revealed a page on W123.de which I translated, and makes reference to the following descriptions:

123,727 00 87 sealing (PVC foil in the doors under the lining in the back) 0.90 exclusive of.
123,727 01 87 sealing (PVC foil in the doors under the lining in front) 1.90 exclusive of.

So, maybe those are the part numbers... Hmmm.

I also love how I managed to typo the word shield in the title of the post. Brilliant!

Do not hesitate. I used 4 mil generic sheet from Home Depot. I used spray adhesive (can't remember which one).

Mask and spray at the top, apply the sheet and trim. Make a slit for the door handle and pass it through. Mask and spray the remaining three sides, then trim gently with a razor blade. Insert the plastic clips into the door panel and then punch them through the plastic sheet. Done.

The same way I always do it. I can't type to save my life. Oh well. At least I can string words together well enough to form coherent sentences. I'm happy with that.

I've seen reference to this EPCnet numerous times, but never found a good link to it. Is this, by chance, a resource that I can access? It will make fin ding bits so much easier.

Thank you for the assistance so far, folks. I'm just a bit concerned about trying to make new ones without knowing what they are supposed to look like. Besides, if they're not terribly expensive, I'd be content to buy them from the dealer.

Scratch that. I finally found a working link to the EPCnet site. I'm going to try a one month subscription to see what I think of it. It looks like it may be handy, even if I do have to pull out the Windows laptop to make it work.

I just pulled the door panels off an 83 300D yesterday. I can snap a few pics of the layout of the plastic for you this evening. Basically, just glue a sheet of plastic over the whole door under the panel, and cut out holes for the handles.

That would be fantastic! I'm mostly curious to know if the holes for the handles include any sort of flaps, or if they tuck around certain areas in a particular direction. If I make some up, I want them to be as close to OE as possible.
