300TD Fast Blinker, Where to start?
My guess is a fast turn signal means a bulb burned out. Thing is every light looks fine when testing. One of the rear license plate bulbs was out, I replaced it but the fast blinker remained.
Any advice on where to start? Is this most likely a burned out bulb? Is there something else to check? Any tips on checking the lights, in the rear I don't want to ruin any trim. |

usually a fast blinker is a burned out bulb. how about the indicators
on the dash panel? had that happen on one vehicle and also had the problem being the flasher unit itself. charlie

Turn on the four way flasher and walk around the car. You should spot a dimmer bulb or inop bulb that way. could be a poor ground or faulty bulb.

The side that blinks faster will indicate which side of the car to look for the bulb. Don't forget to check if all wiring is connected. I didn't have a burnt bulb, but I forgot to connect the plug for the tail light (after some tinkering), and true enough it told me something was amiss on the left side, which was the unplugged 6 pin connector for the tail light on the same side the turn indicator blinked faster.
