fuel delivery problem

i am completely stumped on this one and hoping someone else has some advice. the car is an '83 240D manual running on b-99. i have just converted it to a 2 tank wvo car. i have about 5 years experience converting vehichles to run on wvo. here's the situation in cronilogical order:
1. car ran fine, slight engine shake at idle
2. converted to wvo-2 tanks, hyraforce 3port valves, fphe, hih, seperate filter for wvo than diesel.
3. for the wvo conversion the flow of fuel is modified to be: tank-filter-lift pump-injection pump-tank.
4.primed the car on biodiesel. started and died immidiately.
5. checked for air leaks(none)
6. tested flow of lift pump while cranking(bad LP)
7. replaced lift pump assembly with a new one.
8. car fired right up, ran for 10 minutes, started shaking and died.
9.rerouted fuel line back to stock configuration: tank-lift pump-filter-injection pump-tank
10.car starts and runs fine
11. replaced the pressure regulating banjobolt thing on the outlet side of the injection pump.
12. rerouted fuel to wvo configuration
13. car starts again, but now surges, dies ocasionally at idle

is there any way to test the i.p.? i am going to test the injestors monday.

????????????????????????????????????????????????

Well not sure how to test the ip, other than cracking the lines a hair at the injectors. But generally i think they last a long time. I'd make sure you don't just have some kind of a fuel problem. When doing work on the fuel system plumbing you never know where either a leak or clog could be. I'd first test your car on a jug of diesel with fuel line and return line in the jug. Just use a similar setup as:
http://www.dieselgiant.com/injectorcleaning.htm

If the car runs fine, then you know you've just got a leak or plug somewhere. Of course this setup assumes your fuel filters are not gunked up as well.

Tom's Imports of Columbia MO Ruined the IP in changing leaky delivery valve O-Rings - Refused to stand behind his work. Mid-MO MB drivers-AVOID Tom's.

I second this suggestion. Wouldn't hurt to run it on Purge using that method.
