Locked in Locked out

The lock to my left rear fell off while the door was locked. Its a 1978 300D and I'd like to take off the door panel to fix but can't because the door is locked. anyone know a way to unlock the doors? - using the key to autounlock doesn't work.

How about drawing a vacuum on the "unlock" hose, using a Mityvac or other suction device? On my '80 300 TD the yellow tube with red stripe is for locking; yellow with green stripe is for unlocking. This assumes the unlock vacuum pod is working. How about improvising a tool to do what the fallen-off part is supposed to do ? Steve

I can open all other doors. The lock 'button' simply came off and because it was locked I can't open it.

well then.. that sucks.

I've removed a door panel from the inside of a wrecked car (w123) but the steering wheel and seat were already gone... shouldn't be that hard in the back with the seat installed.. give it a crack ^_^
