I would never want to open my hood and have somebody say "Hey, that looks like weed eater hose"!:eek:
There are places where it is smart to save $, and there are places where it is stupid to save a couple of bucks. Literally a couple.
Guess which place this is.......

thats the type of line Im talking about and personally I like that way it looks and is yellow/clear so you can see the fuel flow threw it

NAPA carries 1/8 inch fuel line. Cheap and works well. If you run WVO you should pay the price to replace lines with something more high tech. WVO will dissolve and swell even old MB OE lines.

On my '82 300D, I first replaced the return lines in 1994. Second time in 2006. That makes the amortized annual cost about $1 per year.

Don't change them! You might be able to grab some used stuff at the junk yard.:D

.

I did my 82 300 SD injector return lines with NAPA 1/8 fuel line.
Cost me $4
Nice thick hose, rated for fuel.

Sometimes buying the cheapest stuff does wind up costing you the most.

The weed eater fuel line works like a champ and being clear is cool too. $4 for 2ft section. Probably not the cheapest by it saved me that in fuel spurtin all over the engine.
