I'm still looking for a third car for my son. I found an '84 190D that's supposed to be restored except one of the cylnders is has a problem. The seller says it needs to be re-bored or the block replaced.
I'm guessing a used engine is around $2K installed. What cost would be involved with re-boring? I'm pretty good at DIY stuff, especially if I have a manual. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.
