slow goin': my compression, smoke, and COLD motor
so, i'm had some smoke + compression problems, discussed most recently HERE, but, i'd really like some input on a possibly (?) related issue(s) with my wagon:
1. when the motor's cold (in the morning), she'll barely accelerate. i mean, she starts up quick, but when accelerating from a stopsign, she takes forever to get up to speed, and the turbo won't really boost her much. after she warms up to normal operating temp, things are much improved. how come? 2. why is it that if i leave her idling for for a long time, though she may not be smoking much, she'll belch a HUGE cloud of light blue/grey smoke out when i pull away, or if i put her in neutral and rev the engine? (btw, i've done the diesel purge, glow plugs, fuel filter change, valve adjustment, and alda hose cleaning, so i don't think those are issues...) would love have some input on this stuff!
