Greetings - I think the PO removed some emissions-related items on this engine. I'm comparing the pics in the service manual with engine and some things seem to be missing.

1. Pic1 shows the top of the valve cover and the following items seem to be missing: Guide Lever, both Switchover Valves (64a and 64b), and associated vacuum tubing.
2. Pic2 shows where the EGR is supposed to be, but it's not there?

If they are missing, what are the effects of these missing items on the engine. It seems to be running well though without them.
