Pulling blower motor for new brushes. Anything else I should do while I'm in there?

Are there any spots I should oil or otherwise treat? Thanks!

I give the bearings/bushings a little shot of ATF.

A drop or two of ATF on the bearings would not hurt.

I think I might even pull a pictorial on this one. I don't remember ever seeing one, and this seems to be a common problem.

Have you taken any pics yet? I still haven't gotten to my blower motor yet and would love to get a visual before I get in there.

Thanks,

Alex

what kind of pics do you need? I just got through replacing the blower in my SD and it was SOOO simple. worst part was getting that blower cage off the shaft... MAN you have to hit it hard! use a flashlight, make sure you get all the screws out of the blower case before you pull the bottom out, and pry the two front clips off the cover before you try to pull down the door.
I ended up getting a complete blower assembly... the bearings in both my parts cars were two far gone for repair.
I will oil the thing every year from now on! I don't want to EVER have to do that again.
