bad Hydraulic lifter or bent valve
1984 190d I have exhaust coming out the 3rd cyl.intake making a pift sound on each cycle has any one experienced this? it happend suddenly at 70mph car was runnin rough smoky

Is it possible a valve spring broke? Burned valve or valve seat?
I have seen a picture in the manual of them removeing the injector and pre-combustion chamber and looking inside the head and cylinder with a Bore Scope to look for damage.
