Many people have obtained renewed performance by adjusting or removing the ALDA, and cleaning out related vacuum lines. Do a search on "ALDA" and you will find lots of information.

A clogged boost controler valve and/or lines.

Check the fuel flow and the fuel filters. First, disconnect the pre-filter and see if fuel drains from the tank side. Look inside the prefilter and see if it's clogged, collapsed or partially clogged.
If you have little flow from the fuel line to the tank, chances are your pickup screen is either clogged or mostly clogged.

My screen clogged and although the car would start and run normally at idle, the higher the RPM, the lower the power available.
