I was looking through the paperwork I got with my car recently. I got most of the service record detailing the work done to the car when I purchased it.

I noticed that there was a service where they did a compression test. It was about 24k miles previous, and it simply stated that the car had 300's all the way across. Is this normal? How often would I do this type of test?
