New record - 775 miles on one tank!

The fill up took 22.1 gallons, so theoretically I could make the mythical 800 mile tank at some point. The '95 E300D's have the 90 liter tank (23.77 gallons) so I could have made the 800 with 25 miles to spare.

Of course no one really wants to suck out the last liter or two of fuel, who knows what's down there in the bottom of the tank!

But for some reason my car is getting better mileage lately, I think it's a combination of filling up with fuel which is somewhat cooler temperature (can feel the nozzle get cool while I'm filling) and very hot weather (+/- 90) which seems to improve the engine efficiency slightly. I track every tank, normal mileage is 33 - 33.5, now running about 35.

Rgds,
Chris W.
265K, needs every mile possible with fuel at $4.79!
