You guys are making me consider the drive from Washington state just to visit wrecking yards! I've been wanting a set of manual window regulators and a manual heater assembly (single dial would be nice) for the W116, and a manual flywheel and clutch for a 200-300 diesel, but I probably couldn't afford to pay anyone a fair price for labor since they are all pain-in-the-butt items to remove. I was a day too late on a Euro W116 and it still haunts me...

Since PNP removes all the cars jacks and doesn't allow any brought in, how do you guys get the cv's out? I can barely get them out with a jack ramming the diff up through the rear floorboard......

PNP seems to do a very good job of removing all the jacks. They don't want somebody jacking the car off the stands and having it fall over obviously......
I'll look around I guess.

Hey Brian, if this is still there, what would you want to pull that rear and speedo? I'd be interested in getting it from you next time I'm down your way (got a buddy who lives in BattleGround).

I'd really LOVE to swap my 3.08 for a 2.88....

Dallas PNP has crushed every last W123 that they had on the lot!!!!
There was this 100 yard open space where all the MB's used to be, mixed in with a volvo and a view other brands. All gone! There were 3 gasser 126's, 2 190's and 2 very picked over W116's. I guess Scar has finally met his maker......
So, no CV's for me, or anything else for that matter.
I did get Dan two very nice gray leather front seats out of a W126. Not a single tear or split.
Dang those electric seats are heavy compared to the W123 seats.....

One puts every car on homemade wheel "jackstands" and has a wheeled A-frame to pull engines with, the others will come by with a big front end loader to lift up a car if you find some spare tires to support it.

Well, I went to the FT. Worth PNP and things went much better! There were 3 W123's, 3-4 W126's and several W201's.
I was very much hurrying to beat the 6:00 closing time, but I got there a little before 4:00 and figured I'd have it made. Well, not so much.....
I almost couldn't get the wheels off. Had to go get an exhaust pipe from some ricer to use as a pry bar.
Then I didn't have a 19mm socket to take off the calipers. Dang! Had to work around that.
Does anything stink more than diff fluid! I'm never quite ready for that odorous quality it throws down. Wow!
I was making slow but steady progress. Finally beat the cv's out of the hubs, but couldn't raise the diff to completely clear the hub. Finally decided to try and drop the shocks from the top a bit and that gave the the clearance I needed to clear the hub.
Time was ticking down, then this happened:

So, no time to waste. Had to lay in the rain, and then in a large water runoff that went right under the trunk area, where I was laying.
Well, I got them out finally. Forgot a hook for the clips and that was almost a deal breaker. Used pliers and a small allen wrench. They announced 5 min. left over the loud speaker, and I was throwing my soaked tools into my soaked backpack, grabbed the cv's and ran for the counter. I guess the spacers stuck on the diff seal, and I never thought about them until I got home. I'm assuming they were stuck there as there was none on the half shafts. Doh!
Still, got a good passenger side cv, and a decent driver's side. Still a fun day...

**fyi, I had the 2 back tires under the diff, and I went and got a ricer hood and put it on the tires under the diff. Then the diff fluid just drained down the hood and out of the way....**
