I have used a Sears 'flex-socket' for bolts like the one next to the cylinder block. A 1/2" flex socket will usually fit a 13mm bolt head in a pinch, then use your long 3/8" extension. Works better for me than a universal and socket. Phil

The bolt labled "bolt at the bottom if the IP" is parallel to the engine block. The other 2 bracket bolts are at 90 degrees and are going into the engine block.
You are seeing the forward bottom corner of the Oil Filter Housing on the right. And,to the left of the Oil Filter Housing is the tubing ends of the Oil Cooler Hoses.

When I don't want to lose tools into the bilge of my boat or around a car engine, I tether them with a piece of string. It works when I'm doing stuff like changing propellers and such, too. I don't have a magnet strong enough to pick up a 17-inch bronze propeller...
