I would love to get a 5 speed as my 4-speed has worn out synchros as it is.

I passed up a 5-speed some years back that was on my local Craigslist for $600....just because I don't have the skills, tools or physical strength to do this kind of job nor the money to pay for it to be done.

And unfortunately none of this has changed. If yours comes with a winning lottery ticket, I'm in

Had that been up when I replaced my 4-speed a few months ago, I would have been on that like stink on cheese. Bummer.

Um, just curious - I saw a comment about the 4-speed manual swaps with 3.0 turbo's generating some vibration 1700-1900 range. I haven't noticed that on my car, so, how noticable/severe is it? I'm curious if it's something I've missed or if the PO who did that part of the swap did something right.

Lots? Without getting too far into specifics, let's just say I've got as much or more in parts into the car in the last year as what it was sold to me for, and most of the problems stem from things that were done the to car by others... (and it was sold as a good running car with only minor 'issues')

Man if that CL car was on the east coast I'd have already bought it.

If you're refering to this one, it is. It's in Maryland about 50 miles south of Washington DC

Spoke with Tom Hanson yesterday, the OM617a flywheel is currently out of stock in Germany. No word on timeframe for a replacement until somebody actually orders one. Figure it will be close to 1,000$US.
