I finally got my hands on a used IP for my '95 E300D, but I need to find a reliable mechanic in my area to perfomr the swap. I live in central NJ, and was wondering if anyone on this forum could recommend someone around my area. The few shops I called, well, lets just say I didnt get a good vibe from them.

I know an excellent mechanic that specializes in diesels, namely, Mercedes Benz.
but he is in Yonkers N.Y., just over the GWB.

Thanks for the quick response guys. I dont want to deal with the MB dealers cause they are super expensive and I know they wont warranty their work if they are not selling the part, hence I rather go to independant guy. I called a few of the guys from the listings, and I have some solid leads. Thanks again..

If those leads don't pan out I know of a great mechanic who was the factory troubleshooting rep for 123's. He studied in Germany and knows these cars very well. Honest and quite reasonable too. Problem is he's in Northern Md. but would well be worth the drive IMHO. Let me know if you need any further info.
