I've seen this done on a black W124. It's the only acceptable way to paint the rims IMO. The outer lip keeps it from looking like ****.

I want to put these wheels on my wagon. 1998-2000 CLK 16":


EDIT: I like lefrisbee's version with the clean edge. Reminds me of an AMG wheel.

I might be in the minority here, but I don't like the 16 inch CLK rims.

I agree... We did something similar with our ChallengeX car... turned out really well actually!! Not an MB though... sorry.

I just bought a set of these with two mxv4 and two primacy's. From a 2000 CLK- 16x7 et 37..... Score!!! Shop this please!!!!
