Dash Thermometer: F or C

How do I change the readout display of the dash thermometer from Farenheit to Celsius?

I have a 1987 300 SDL.

Mine presently reads in F.

I want to read it in C.

When you say "easy to replace" does that entail using a chainsaw to open up the dashboard?

Would a 1985 300SD module exchange match with the module in my 1987 300 SDL?

My Dad's 300 SD reads in C and he wants to read F.

That would be sweet, just swap the parts between my car and Dad's.

almost...

but all you need is a "hook" to get the dash out. it's just sitting in a rubber mount... no screws.
i used the tool you get to open a paint can. just hook the side of the whole unit and pull gently to alternate sides until it pops loose.
the temp module has a plug on the back and two screws.
whole thing takes about 10 minutes... if you work slow.
i bet a lot of people here would trade you a C for a F.

I had a C one in my 87 and just bought a Fahrenheit on ebay and plugged it in.

Works great!

If you don't have hooks to pull the guages just pull the lower panel and reach up and push it out.

And yes your dads is the same as yours.
