Went to the Imperial Palace Automotive Showroom today... Amazing! Most of the cars for sale, the inventory valued over 100 million dollars.

http://www.imperialpalace.com/casinos/imperial-palace/casino-misc/auto-collections-detail.html

I apologize for the poor quality photos, but since this was an impromptu trip, I only had my Iphone for photographs.

The Benzes:

Gull Wing for 750,000

Driver Quality Pagoda: $39,000

Then came the two mind blowing cars so expensive that you have to request the price...

Viva Las Vegas, baby. Won a tournament tonight and recouped my losses and then some... I'm quitting while I'm ahead.

I hit the road mid-morning tomorrow, with my step-grandfather in the passenger seat. Rotten cards coupled with wanting to watch the BCS championship at home, he's willing to rough it with me, as opposed to their exquisite new BMW 750.

Wish me luck; hopefully this will be the shortest and easiest leg.

I wanted to get some good photos of Ol' Turbo with the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, but it was too dark for anything decent to turn out.

With the magic of photo cropping and editing, I managed to produce this.

Here is what it was before: I cropped the sign in from another picture.

I found this game interesting at the Hilton, but didn't play:

This beautiful China Blue Pagoda was sitting in the Valet lane at the Hilton... With the new 30 day sticker, I assume the owner just purchased the vehicle...

Wow Tyler...excellent pics! I wouldn't have the discipline to constantly stop and snap photos, then load them up onto the website lol.

I arrived in SoCal today at about 1:00 this afternoon and had a late lunch at fashion island.

Unfortunately, an overcast day made for unattractive photos.

While this is my first time driving to California, I've probably visited the state more than 20 times in my life. I have yet to become complacent about the insane about of gorgeous classic Benzes on the roads. That's why JGS (the company I started a thread on that sells time capsule Mercedes) and local forum members are able to find these cars, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! It seems like every time I blink, I notice another nice old European car.

For Example: 3 photos in under 30 seconds.

The Ferrari turned left at the intersection, and this pulled up alongside me... driven by an elderly woman.

then, I notice the nice black 210 wagon...

I'm having trouble driving, following my GPS's directions, and rubber necking at cars all at the same time.

Example number 2: Craigslist...

Here's the craigslist Mercedes listings in Wichita. I'm lucky to see one a day.
http://wichita.craigslist.org/search/cta?query=mercedes&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max

and here is LA's Mercedes listings: well over 100 a day.
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/search/cta?query=mercedes&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max

Wichita is the largest city in Kansas, mind you, so the population difference is not even close to 100-1, more like 10-1

My final stop of the day was California's premier benz dealership, Fletcher Jones...

I felt like an idiot snapping photos at the dealer. That coupled with my old car parted the salesmen herd at the front door like Moses and the Red Sea. I'm used to having a yuppie like initial impression with people, so I couldn't help but be a little bit offended. (not really, kidding)

The auto collection at the IP used to include Hitler's Mercedes. The old owner celebrated Hitler's birthday, and obviously, that wasn't too popular. Regardless, it was an impressive and historic automobile.

One arrogant over-muscled salesman came up to me and said with an authoritative tone, "you're not allowed to take pictures here."

I laughed him off and said yeah right, but he persisted, and took a kind of intimidating stance. When I started to oblige, he laughed, along with the peanut gallery of salesmen behind him, and said, "just kidding."

Typical meat head, using their physical dominance to make up for their other inadequacies.

Another guy was really nice... There was a black 2004 E500 wagon with 40k that had my name all over it... too bad its from the dark ages of Mercedes, but it only had a $27,000 asking price. Well out of my Cheap wagon club price range, but I thought it a good deal... for a dealership asking price, that is.
