'84 300dt mystery valve ID needed

In changing my glow plugs yesterday, I brushed against a vacuum valve that is located between the vacuum pump and the brake booster. This snapped off one of the vacuum fittings that leads to the myriad of spaghetti running to various places around the engine. The result is that the engine must now be shut off using the manual linkage as the vacuum fuel shut off is not working.

I've searched high and low around the net and can find lots of different vacuum valves, but none look like the one I need to replace.

I've attached a photo of the mystery valve. If anyone could let me know what this do-dad is called so that I can order one, I'd sincerely appreciate the info.

Thanks in advance!

I can't vouch for the W123, however, on the W-126 that valve is part of the line from the vacuum pump to the booster. The line must be replaced.

Yup, looks like you broke a nipple off the check valve.

In a pinch I've heard the straw from a can of WD40 and some super glue can fix this...

Thank you gentlemen! I guess I'm glad this is a single unit... don't know how one would ever get the larger vacuum hoses off the nipples without much swearing and destruction.

I'll get one ordered.

Thanks again!
