Never seen a wagon with original leather seats. The door panels and front carpet haven't seemed to fade like the seats though. Makes me worry about my front seats, which are leather but not original.

Nice car. Nice find. How many miles? Do you plan on putting some money/tlc in fixing it up?

The Carfax showed 49,000 miles in 1998 and 55,000 in 2001 - California car. I've found the original owner, but I haven't heard back from her yet. Between the carfax and my ability to check out a car, yep, I think the mileage checks out. The switches are firm, the car drives "tight", there's not a lot of wear on the brake/accelerator pads, the shifter isn't worn, etc.

My theory is that the car was used often, but not far. That's why the switches are worn out and the driver's seat is a bit squished; the photos make it look worse than it feels, but it still needs to be re-springed and re-padded. The PO said when she got it, it looked brand new, but they left it outside in Austin, Texas for the past six/seven years, so the pinkamino affect took place somewhat recently.

I expect 19 highway, but I didn't buy it to daily drive or get good mpg. I bought it to work on and drive around Houston in it. Gotta love old wagons and Hagerty insurance - $3500 agreed value, full coverage, all for $54.00 a year...a YEAR!

This is by far the cheapest car I've ever owned - for now.

Careful, in a few months you're actually gonna own a car with over 100K miles.....
