Now I'M a member of "Cheap Wagon Club"

Found this in Austin; checked it out last Wednesday, then picked it up on Sunday. These are the "before" pictures - I already cleaned the engine and a friend cleaned the interior (stains are now gone). The car still needs a serious buffing to be very nice. It made the drive from Austin to Houston without a hitch, but it needs a rear main (small leak), valves adjusted (idles very well, though), an AC bump, some center console stuff, and a restuffing of the driver's seat. The list is a bit longer than that, but that's the major stuff.

It's a 1985 euro 280TE gas (yes, I know this is a diesel forum) with 95k miles, not a spec of rust anywhere, mostly original, leather seats, sunroof, power windows/such, seemingly no accidents, all for $1200. I never list online what I pay for toys, but to be a member of the cheap wagon club, you kinda have to explain the "cheap" part with a figure. So there ya go. As a side note, I'll be the first to admit that the photos hide lots of imperfections!

Ah, a few hundred short to be in the CWC, but thousands ahead in condition from the rest...

Too bad I'm not in the club anymore, otherwise I would let you in... Who is on the admission board now anyway?

Looks gorgeous. I'll give you $1400 for it.

"Leather light brown" is what the VIN says; it fades like pinkamino. No TD for me - if I fall in love with the wagon, the 300D may be on the way out this year. I love the interior on that 300D though.

Jack, I PM'd you my number.

I don't want to b..ch about it, I am just sayin because I've seen many high miles MB, I know their seats... At 95k driver seat should look lot better. This one looks like it has 200k+ miles.

On the other hand, You look like a "low mile classics" kind of collector so I am sure You checked the mileage. Maybe PO was 300 pounds, that's it
