FWIW ; I vastly prefer the early style primer pumps , on that rare time you need to prime it from running out of fuel , it works much faster as they transfer more fuel per stroke .

I'm on the hunt for longer 14mm wrenches to make my own adjustment wrenches. I plan to hit the pawn shops. All of my 14mm's are to short. I sure don't want to sacrifice my ratchet wrenches.

Glow Plugs

All new glow plugs installed. I did #5 first because I assumed it was the hardest. The new reamer does a nice job. (I will add the reamer to the loaner list if everyone/anyone thinks it something worth adding.)

Priming the pump and getting it to start back was a little scary. I was hoping I wouldn't have to crack each injector line after they were reinstalled, whch I didn't have to do. I primed it about 200 times, glowed the plugs...then it fired after the 3rd crank. It sputtered a few seconds then idled out nicely. I assume this was air in the injector lines?

Next project is the temperature sensor. I disassembled the clip that connect to the temp sensor hoping it just needed cleaning or crimping. I grounded the wire to check the temp gauge. The temp gauge immediately pegged all the way as had been stated in the forum. So the gauge must be good and the sensor bad.

I dread removing the sensor and assume it will be messy.

Just do it fast and you won't lose much fluid. I wrapped the new sensor with teflon tape and had it right there to install once I had the old one finger loose.
