veggie kit filter replacement problem

Hi ya all, I just bought an 85 300d turbo that came with Lovecraft, or as u guys called, Lovecrap kit. The fuel filter started to clog, but I'm not ready to ditch the kit since it's still summer n since it still avg above 32 F in Winter around here. I'm planning to modify it here n there n step by step.
Lovecraft is no longer around, so I can't get this filter anymore. Many people here said Davco 234's filter can b used in place of this old Lovecrap one, but I compared the picture online with what I can see through the clear plastic of mine n they don't seem to match. I figured there's not enough time in this life 2 figure everything out on ur own, so I choose 2 get an advise from wise guys here. So any one has encountered this problem, please let me know ur solution
Thanks in advance.
