Removing the MB emblem on the hatch?? 87' 300TD

I am stripping down the car now to prepare it for paint and can't seem to remove the rear star. I can get the fishing line all under it except the center. I have the int hatch panel off, but can't see in that location. Any help?

The 300TD and TURBO badges were just double taped on.

13mm?

Should be a nut right in the middle, accessible from inside.

Jay.

I removed it yesterday and is held in place with three small push-in clips near the center of the star (one on each). Very easy to break the prongs on the emblem- It is all plastic. A flat scraper can get under the star and help pop it out. I will post a pic soon for others......
