That's a healthy leak. Does Cryo-Seal claim to seal such a leak? I don't recall.

Sorry about the dash. My day will come eventually, I'm sure.

From the Cryoseal FAQ:

Q. Will CryosealŽ seal all leaks?
A. Our Self-Sealing Refrigerant process cannot seal extremely large leaks or ruptures. A good guideline to follow is that it should not be used for leaks that individually release more than 1 pound of refrigerant per hour. It should be noted that CryosealŽ will not seal dynamic shaft seal leaks on external drive shafts.

doing a review on past evap failures it looks like they corrode from the outside in.

Added links citing problems:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/archive/index.php/t-181586.html
http://www.club124.net/w124-buyers-guide.html

some cite the copper/aluminum interface other cite corrosion from mold/bugs etc.

I wonder why that would be?
what is on the coils that causes the corrosion? aluminum is a pretty stout metal, it tends to hold up in places that would make steel cry. flowing water will uncover the surface plating effect in the aluminum, is there exposed tubing on a flow location? are there chinese drywall fumes in there?

I plan on dissassembling my 93 parts car... I will remove the dash at some point. I wanna look at the coil mounting and see what would cause corrosion!
