Never said I want to sell it I just wanna know how much money I can put into it before it becomes pointless. I am gonna have to sell it at some point whether it is before Christmas or toward the end of summer when I go to college. Its gonna happen whether I like it or not!

Don't put anything into it if you're going to sell it (or as little as possible). Otherwise, repair it to your standards & drive it. The decision is only an economical decision if you don't intend to drive it a long time.

85SD 240K & stopped counting painted, putting bac together. 84SD 180,000. sold to a neighbor and member here but I forget his handle. The 84 is much improved from when I had it. 85TD beginning to repair to DD status. Lots of stuff to do.

The value is what you place on the car, then the value of what it is worth to someone else.

If this MB is just a stepping stone onto other vehicles, then just drive it.

Replacing a water pump, Glow Plugs, Injectors, valve adjustment or what ever, doesn`t cause the value to increase. these are just maintenance items that go along with car owner ship.

Going to college W/O the MB? Blasphemy . then what? the Honda?

Well there probably won`t be much time for a MB with the party time in college
