The "T" in TL is proper. Good thing is isn't turbocharged! {TLT?}
"Mature": Code word for "old".........

I'd trade my soul for a 2007 TL-type S 6 speed.

I did! For a 2005, just not badged "S".....

OK, kind of rambling in my thread here, but can you believe it? The spousal unit is extremely angry at me over this. Here I say "Honey, you won't have those 3 Mercedes sitting out front anymore. I'm also going to somehow get rid of my "79 Chevy PU. All good, right??
Heck NO!!!! "Are you stupid? You bought a car off the internet that you've never seen or driven?" "What's wrong with you?". {non-rhetorical}
Just can't win can we.....
Speaking of time, off to check my daughter's homework. More time to eat up, eh Joe?

I really meant mature, not old.

If you decide to drop in a snail in the Hon -- I mean Acura -- then it'd be a TLT indeed

Tyler, I'm going to have to borrow the word "Jimmified"

I wonder how the Acura guys refer to these. Are they simply TLs or do they go by chassis numbers?

I'd love to see Jimmy's first post over there, followed by questions from 19 year olds on how he plans to "mod" it.

Maybe they'd ask him if he'd lower the car and make it "hella flush"

Ya think I'll have any patience for all that talk??? Me and William and Dan and Brian and other crusties just don't have the life-force in us to fight through that. Besides, I'll be OK with the stock 270HP.
Good Lord, you think K&N filters are a player on those sites? I've already seen pics of some funky intake "things".
I'll just be putting "gas" in it and paying somebody else to do oil changes. Crap!

It is a risk buying a car on the Internet - hopefully Tyl being a dealer can/will negate any funny business. I'm sure he'll stay on top of the purchase to be sure all is well with the car.

I have no fear in doing a deal if the right car presents itself. What I'll never do again is buy new.

Yep, no pressure for him, but I guess Tyler does shoulder the ENTIRE responsibility for this. Hmmmm, wonder if the wife is still awake. I need to mention that before I forget.....
I'm with ya Joe! I was looking at 6 year old BMW's that had already lost about $30-$35 thousand in value. I certainly prefer that somebody else pays that.

Its amazing how many cars I've bought sight unseen over the internet. Its just wild.

This dealer went through and reconditioned the car, with the whole 150 point inspection mumbo jumbo along with a service and tires. You'd have to try really hard to break one of these cars, so it all comes down to cosmetics.

I spent some time talking to him about his setup since he seems to have a fairly successful internet sales. They go to impressive lengths to alleviate any trepidations of sight unseen purchases, and that brings them the sales.

Of course, you never know for sure, but the same can be said for buying a used car in person.

Yikes, that wasn't the reaction I would have expected from the wife, Jimmy.

I now believe that most if not all used BMWs are moneypits. I've never owned one, and probably never will need to. BMWs have an unbelievably strong cult following. I'd buy a GM truck or Lexus before a BMW anyway. I just hate to waste money on a car/SUV of any brand that eats money.

Gulp... If Jimmy were W220 S600 shopping I'd be soiling myself right now.

That Acura is just about the best money that can be spent on a pre-owned newish car. Acuras are just too dependable. The BMW would not have been a good out-of-pocket cost play on maintenance going forward - even an ultra-high priced one on the cheap.

If Brian C. gets wind of this BMW bashing he may not like it - especially since I have no firsthand experience with a BMW. I've read the tales enough to believe them to be true though..... You've never seen a more devoted following (cult) than some of the BMW guys!
