Hello Forum, this one is weird! The other day, I sensed my battery getting weaker and had noticed that when I turned the ignition switch there seemed to be no contact but car started(contact made) after turning key off and on a few times (this happened to me with the last starter I replaced as I had a bad solenoid) So I drove on, parked car and then car would not start at all, no contact to starter BUT, car could be jumped to start which got me home. I measured 11.3 volts at battery and thought perhaps battery was going so put another battery in measuring 12.6 volts and when I turned key nothing but a strange groaning sound, almost like air being released from a bag -weird!Does this scenario sound familar to anyone? Why would I be able to jump car but not be able to complete circuit normally via ignition switch even with fully charged battery?
