SLS issues

It's warm outside and like all young boys I've taken an interest in fixing up my 300TD.

Last fall I started work repairing my SLS. I rebuilt the pump and the valve, refilled the tank, and put everything together. Still, the bottom had a slight sag to it. Maybe it's working and I don't know it, but I had my girlfriend sit in the back and there was no movement when I started her up.

Yesterday I got under the car and took some photos. Maybe someone has a suggestion?

Pump:

Video of me messing with the arm:

If I look in the tank I can see a trickle of fluid running through the system. How much fluid should be flowing? Currently it looks kind of like a water fountain.

Thanks!

You're valve looks like it need the height properly set. If you got one of my o-ring kits you should have gotten a rod that will slip through the hole in the arm and into the hole in the valve. This is where proper ride height it. You have to adjust the length of the arm to set the height.

Also it doesn't sound like the car is running in your video. The valve won't work properly if you don't have the car running.

What is the zip-tie for. It could be causing problems if its holding the rod onto the lever arm.

Exactly..... now start the car and have your gf in the driver seat .....while she is there push the arm up as high as you can and HOLD it there while she revs the engine slightly. It should start to move slowly but when you lower the arm go slow so you dont crush your self

If you still have no move ment you might need to vent/bleed it which iss rare as it is a semi self bleeding system.

keep playing with it and you will get it

Duh. Oftentimes I don't think things all the way through. :-)

And yeah, I repaired it with a kit I bought from you. I'll use the rod this weekend.

Hi
Your suspension Pull Rod Rod is shot - makes proper adjustment & function difficult. Part number W0133-1621080. But pricey for what it is. You can fab something that will work - but use bolts rather than ties for connections.
Good Luck,
Joseph
